The European Open holds a place close to our hearts at Discmania - born on Finnish soil and built around our love for the sport, it's always been more than just a tournament to us. As the Beast course in Nokia, Finland steps aside after years of hosting this iconic PDGA Major, the 2026 edition heads to Tallinn, Estonia - and we couldn't be more proud to come along as the event's presenting sponsor.
To mark this chapter in our shared history with the EO, we're launching a series of special fundraiser releases. Every purchase goes directly toward supporting elite professional disc golf on European shores.
About the Meta Function
Add the Meta Function to your bag for effortless distance and shot shapes that bend the imagination!
The Function is an easy to throw fairway driver that offers the most understable flight path of any Discmania disc produced to date. Those that enjoy the performance of the Essence but seek something just a bit flipper for their game are going to fall in love with this one right away.
The Function is engineered for players with lower level arm speeds, beginners/amateurs, and those that enjoy the flight of an understandable fairway driver that executes turning shots quickly and easily. Players with more arm speed love the Function for rollers thanks to its predictable turn. The Function is the go-to roller disc for top players like Gannon Buhr, Niklas Anttila and the likes.
The Meta plastic is a beautiful, super pearly and a very durable blend. Compared to Neo and Lux plastics, the Meta plastic tends to be slightly more stable, but the difference is not massive. This plastic also offers a great grip.
The discs used for this hail from a prototype run that was included in the players packs of the 2024 edition of the European Open, making this technically the first occasion the Meta Function is offered for direct sales in our stores. The fact these are a prototype run is evident by the fact these have no bottom tooling - instead, the mold name is penned on the bottom. This batch represents the very last discs we have from this run.
